Common actions for all modules of Saddle

All Saddle modules provide a set of common actions that are always possible.

Icon Meaning Shortcut Description
New File... CRTL-N

Creates a new file under the currently selected node in the project tree. The type of the file has to be selected in the following dialog.


New Project...
CRTL-SHIFT-N

Create a new Project. The resulting wizard will guide you through the process of creating a new project.


Open Project...
CRTL-SHIFT-O

Open an already existing project

Save
CRTL-S

Save the content of the currently selected component (which may be a workflow, template or mapping). This action is only enabled if a storable file is opened and selected.

Save all files
CRTL-SHIFT-S

Save all files that are currently opened.

Export file none

Exports the currently focussed file to some place in the file system. The export format is importable by Saddle.

mule Start Mule
none

Starts a Mule instance from the Saddle IDE with the currently created configura-tion file, or the one you can choose through the drop-down arrow. This is meant for testing but not recommended for production systems.

stop24 Stop Mule
none

If Mule is started, stops the Mule server.

There are also some actions that are not always enabled and handle the clipboard. These are:

Cut the current selection to the clipboard


Copy
CRTL-C

Copy the current selection to the clipboard


Paste
CRTL-V

Past the current content of the clipboard

Additionally there is the possibility to import a full project that has previously been exported by Saddle. Simply open the "File" menu and select "Import a Saddle Project", then provide the location of the exported zip file. Saddle will import the project into your user home folder under "SaddleProjects".
